I met Colleen at TCAF a few years ago and she is super fun and funny. She invented a holiday called Lumberjack Day. She has a connect-the-dots tattoo of a giraffe on her leg. And she’s the author of a great series of books full of puns that Princess Planet readers should enjoy. They’re called the Guinea PI series, about a guinea pig private investigator. I’ve been enjoying the whole series. While Colleen can draw some, and is a very talented book designer at First Second, she feels more comfortable writing. So I asked her for a script for me to draw. I knew she’d be able to channel King Carnelian’s flag conundrums into something hilarious. She said to me “Have you tried saying musk ox mascot ascot outloud? It’s basically impossible for three times fast!” Colleen is also funny to be friends with on the internet because she says funny things like “Every time I step onto a crowded elevator I say ‘I guess you’re wondering why I called you here today'”.

Also, sorry about missing my first update ever last week, but I’m still waiting on a few last guest strips trickling in. I hope you’re enjoying them so far.
