So am I making a comment that you should give up on your dreams because the reality of the business world is that you won’t make a living at what you love? Heck no. Just that going through regular channels won’t usually help. Neither I, nor anyone I know, got a successful art job through classifieds or a placement agency. It’s all who you know, knocking on doors and doing the work.
