My sketchbook is just filled with doodles of these weird types of creatures, ready to be plopped in at a moment’s notice.

It’s a perspective trick! With his head oriented toward the snowman and christi, it’s an angry cyclops hippy dragon; but with his head oriented toward the other side of the cliff he’s unhappy and has hair flopped over his other eye.
